Dr. Maria Rogers is a clinical psychologist at the Child, Adolescent, and Family Centre of Ottawa, where she supports children, teens, and adults navigating ADHD and its many related challenges.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Rogers has worked alongside hundreds of individuals and families as they make sense of their neurodivergence and its impact on daily life. In both her clinical work and writing, she is known for a grounded, compassionate approach that integrates psychological research with the real-world realities of family life.
Dr. Rogers' work is rooted in a deep understanding of ADHD, its effects on relationships, and evidence-based strategies that are both effective and realistic. She approaches neurodivergent families with respect and compassion, and is committed to helping individuals and families reduce shame, build clarity, and find connection and well-being.
In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Rogers is a tenured professor at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, where her research focuses on ADHD, mental health, and education.
