Program Overview

Phase 1: Online Learning (self-paced)

To begin your training, you will first build the theoretical and foundational knowledge required before stepping into the testing room. Through six structured online modules, you will learn:

  • The role of the psychometrist and supervising psychologist
  • The ethics of psychometry work
  • Foundations of standardized administration
  • Cognitive and academic testing basics
  • Scoring procedures and techniques
  • Behavioural observations training

Online modules must be completed prior to in-person training.

Phase 2: In-Person Intensive (4 days instruction)

Following the foundational knowledge covered in the online modules, you will be ready to start hands-on learning in the practice of psychometry. We will meet over two in-person weekends (Saturdays + Sundays for two weekends, set two weeks apart) and will cover:

  • Intelligence (i.e., WISC-V & WAIS-V) and academic (i.e., WIAT-4) test administration
  • Standardization accuracy training
  • Hands-on test administration practice
  • Scoring of filmed administrations
  • Live feedback and correction
  • Clinical nuances beyond the manual
